Pool wall collapse kills three

By LAHORE:Three people were killed and two others injured when a swimming pool wall collapsed in the Badami Bagh area on Sunday.

Informed, rescuers rushed to the scene and transported the four injured to Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital for medical treatment. Three people identified as Dilawar, 26, Saqlain, 13, residents of Khokhar village, and Azhar from Tibba Kalan, Kasur died of their injuries. The injured were identified as Abdul Basit, 15, and Hamza. The administration of the swimming pool was not present on the scene.

Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz learned of the incident and requested a report from the Lahore Commissioner’s Division and CCPO and ordered to investigate the incident. He also ordered indiscriminate legal action against those found guilty. The Chief Minister expressed his deep sorrow over the deaths of three people in the incident and ordered the administration to provide the best treatment facilities for the others injured.

Man found dead: A man was found dead in a house in Liaqatabad Police Zone on Sunday. The victim has been identified as Zafar Iqbal. Circumstantial evidence implied that the victim had been murdered. The victim was an auto mechanic by profession. The police transported the body to the morgue.

Robber Arrested: Samanabad Police arrested a robber who was shot and injured by his own accomplice. The injured thief has been identified as Jibran Shah. An accomplice of the arrested thief who escaped by taking advantage of the darkness has been identified as Haseeb.

Two people killed: Two people died after a truck hit them for speeding near the Sherakot highway on Sunday. The victims were identified as Shah Muhammad, 70, and Ans, 40. The bodies were transferred to the morgue.

Accidents: The Punjab Emergency Services Department (PESD) has responded to 941 road accidents across the 37 districts of Punjab in the past 24 hours. In these accidents, 10 people died, while 986 were injured.

Of this number, 608 people were seriously injured and were transferred to various hospitals. While 378 minor injuries were treated at the site of the incident by Rescue medical teams.
