Although the Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort reopened last year with an excellent breakfast, the breakfast buffet was unavailable due to health and safety restrictions. The buffet finally returned on February 15, 2022.

Breakfast is $25 per adult and $14 per child.

Customers must keep their mask on when they are at the buffet and disinfect their hands between each visit. They are not allowed to reassemble the same plate.

pancake station

The pancakes were a disappointment. They were horrible. It was like they used tortilla dough to make them. Ignore them.

Eggs Benedict

Eggs Benedict was ok, but the eggs were a bit overcooked and the hollandaise sauce was broken. It was slightly salty, but otherwise didn’t have much flavor.
Vegetables

The seasonal vegetable during our visit was asparagus.
Omelet Station

There are several options at the omelet station. There is ham and cheese; a western omelet of ham, cheese, onions and peppers; or a vegetable option of onions, mushrooms, peppers and spinach.

It can be customized with ham, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, onions, peppers and spinach. We chose the ham and cheese omelet.

The chefs prepared it quickly and skillfully.

It was a nice improvement over the omelettes you previously ordered at your table.
Cookies and gravy

The cookies are a bit small, but soft and delicious.

All of the standard breakfast options were nice. This includes Mickey and Minnie waffles, scrambled eggs, pancakes, tater tots, bacon and sausages.

Steak and scrambled eggs were a little salty but had good flavors that blended well. Tofu scramble is a solid option for those who might not like some of the other foods.
Beach buns
Salted Caramel Snatch Bread Topped with Cinnamon Streusel

The “Beach Buns” are brought to your table, and they are the highlight of the meal. It’s basically a soft cinnamon bun.

Cream takes it to another level. It’s the perfect sweet accompaniment to French toast and waffles.
Beverages

Tickled Pink – $15
Rose flavored Monin syrup and Stoli vanilla vodka, topped with sparkling wine, topped with strawberry pop rocks and a touch of shine

The drink bursts on arrival, which is fun, but tastes a bit like soap.

You could smell the alcohol, but the dominant flavor is somewhat medicinal.
Overall the buffet was just ok. There was nothing special about it; the “standards” were usual, but fresh. The steak and eggs and the chocolate chip pancakes were the top items. The specialty drink we had wasn’t great either.
If you are looking for a simple and affordable breakfast buffet, this is not a bad choice. However, we recommend the Ale & Compass buffet on Cape May. It’s a similar price, plus the buffet starters and mains we had were much better quality and fresher there.
