Summer Pool Temporary Opening Hours

The municipal swimming pool has set up temporary hours for the summer.

The pool, at 861 Avenue B, is open 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, as well as 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday for adult laps. Free swimming sessions are scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. Family swim sessions are scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Cheree Brennan, aquatics coordinator, said she continues to add lifeguards to staff and hopes to “have more extended hours” soon.

The facility’s climbing walls, diving board and wading pool can be used during free swim sessions, as staff permit, Brennan said.

The scuba tank will not be available during family swim sessions.

Admission is free for youth, but children under 8 must be accompanied by someone 14 or older and have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian on file. Additionally, Brennan said that if the child under 8 isn’t swimming, the accompanying person should be “in the water with them within easy reach.”

Daily admission is $2 for seniors and $3 for adults.

Punch cards and annual passes are also available. A 30-shot pass costs $51 for seniors and $76.50 for adults; annual passes cost $175 for an individual and $300 for a family. A $75 summer pass for individuals is also available.

The office and racquetball courts are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.
