Suntree’s New Clubhouse To Open Early This Year | New

The $ 7.5 million lodge project at Suntree Country Club is nearing completion.

“We anticipate it will open at the start of the year,” said general manager Steve Lamontagne.

A rolling creek bordered by a stone wall lines the rear of the new clubhouse, mirroring its predecessor in architecture and style, while showcasing a paved outdoor veranda overlooking a new green of Bermuda grass as well as on the 18th hole of the classic club course.

The new structure measures nearly 14,000 square feet and includes a private dining room, banquet hall, indoor and outdoor bars, show kitchen with pizza oven, pro shop and men’s changing rooms and women.

“The new lodge is a fantastic addition to the Suntree County Club,” said Doug Hyde, President of the Country Club.

“It will serve all members, whether golfers, tennis or social members, with expanded possibilities for private dining or main meals or just socializing with friends. The cute new pro shop (is) where our golf pros can display more products such as golf and tennis apparel and golf clubs.

“I think it will be a good atmosphere for the members to come over for dinner,” said Hyde.

The existing 25,000 square foot clubhouse is also undergoing renovations to accommodate various catering functions, including events and weddings for non-members.

The main ballroom, the Magnolia Room, has received a total refresh, according to Lamontagne, including new carpets, window light fixtures, ceilings, paint and chandeliers, in addition to the bathrooms. renovated.

The construction of futuristic fitness rooms is currently in the pipeline.

On October 3, the second phase of the irrigation project on the 11 remaining holes of the Challenge course and the expansion of the teeing areas were completed.

There is currently a waiting list for golfers and tennis players. However, there are still openings for those joining as social members, which includes use of the pool, bars, and restaurants, as well as rounds of golf and tennis once a month.

“A lot of things at the club are going really well,” said Lamontagne. “We are grateful for that.”
