Toddler dies after being found unconscious in NW Harris County pool

The toddler was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a home in northwest Harris County, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted.

A toddler has died after being found unconscious in a swimming pool Saturday morning at a home in northwest Harris County, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Deputies responded at around 10:17 a.m. to a residence in the 10,200 block of Cascade Hills Drive where they found the child — believed to be 3 — unresponsive, Gonzalez tweeted. The child was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
