The Red Sox burst bottles of champagne after defeating the Rays in the ALDS to advance to the ALCS.

But before their big party, Red Sox manager Alex Cora had something to say.

“To be in this position is a testament to who you are, not only as players but also as individuals,” Cora told Red Sox players and staff at the clubhouse.

“From day one you have believed in this group. Not many people believed outside of this fucking clubhouse. But here we are. ALCS! On the next one! ”Cora finished before he and the rest of the team blew their champagne bottles.

The Red Sox’s ALDS victory comes after Cora was suspended for the 2020 season due to her involvement in the Astros sign-stealing scandal.

Now in her third year as manager of the Red Sox, Cora has built an impressive playoff resume. He’s won all four playoffs he’s managed, including the 2018 World Series. Additionally, Cora is undefeated in the tie-breakers as a manager, going 5-0.
